On the surface we are stoic, protected and in control. But if you could only glimpse at what was happening underneath you would see that our veins are pumping wildly - everything at full force - maximum level, extreme junctures, ready to explode.
Pressure, Passion, Pain
One must fall to see how deep the darkness is before they can begin to comprehend the glory of the light. Celestial Beings is a series of my friends, acquaintances and colleagues that I feel have reached a certain level of awareness that has allowed them to transcend themselves and help others in very different but powerful ways. I paint them without any previous conversation of what I will do and then photograph it immediately before they ever get a chance to see what I have transformed them into only having the inner perception of themselves to reflect upon and project.
