I know, I just did a post on my home, but did I mention that I was actually born in Savannah, Georgia and not North Carolina? No? Oops. Well I was and I have been living in Savannah for the past 2 months in between school semesters and never thought the words would come out of my mouth, but truly I am in love with a city in the South. Don't worry, I'm not withdrawing my self-proclamation of a New York soul, but I am willing to admit that this New York soul has humble beginnings. Birth beginnings that is. In my short time here Savannah has shown itself to be like a much calmer New York. When SCAD is in session you have the art and fashion of New York, the scenery of Central Park + Spanish Moss, and all the vintage shopping your heart could desire. I can definitely see why Savannah was the only city Colonel Sherman didn't burn down when he was on that Civil War rampage of his (fun fact of the day, huh?). Overall I can't express enough how much this break was needed and how much I have been able to accomplish, conceptualized, and reassess in myself, my personal life, and my work life.
This post is a visual dedication to my time spent in Savannah. I hope you enjoy.
